      Howard Henry Lederer, born October 30, 1964, in Concord, New Hampshire, is a professional poker player. He is a two-time World Poker Tour Champion. He is brother of Annie Duke, and author, poet Katy Lederer. Owner of 2 bracelets. Money Finishes in number of 41 at the World Series of Poker . 2 Title won, 2+1 Final tables, 7+1 Money finishes at World Poker Tour.
      Howard Henry Lederer is known as "the Poker Professor" because of his demeanor, analytical style and long history of wins. He discovered poker game after college when he moved to New York. After he became part of a circle of world-class games players, who were the first to experiment with No-Limit Hold 'em (when it was introduced in New York City), he next started to play with his sister Annie Duke on her game. He also encouraged her to go to Las Vegas with him and play in the WSOP tournaments. Going to Las Vegas, Annie Duke won more money than any other women in history of the WSOP. She soon became Poker Champion.
      Howard Henry Lederer earned his first of two Hall of Fame titles when he won the $2,500 No-Limit Deuce to Seven Draw event at the 1994 Hall of Fame Poker Classic. A year later, Howard earned his second title by defending his Deuce to Seven Draw title at the 1995 Hal After five more years of hard work, Howard won the first of his two gold bracelets in the $5,000 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo event at the 2000 WSOP. A year later, he won his second gold bracelet in the $5,000 Deuce to Seven event at the 2001 WSOP. In November of 2002, won his first WPT Championship title in at Foxwoods. In March of 2003, Howard won his second WPT Championship title in the $5,000 Limit Hold 'em event on The Poker Million cruise. Just one month later, Howard won the first of his three Bellagio titles in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event at the 2003 Bellagio Five-Star World Poker Classic. His second Bellagio win was in the $2,500 No-Limit Hold 'em event in April 2004. His third Bellagio title came just 13 days later in the $5,000 Pot-Limit Omaha event.
      Today, Howard enjoys providing commentary and analysis on FullTiltPoker.Net's Learn from the Pros and FSN's Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament, lending credence to his nickname, "The Professor." As of 2009, his total live tournament winnings exceed $5,200,000. His 41 cashes as the WSOP account for $1,332,816 of those winnings. He lives in Las Vegas with his wife Suzie, son Mattias, and three dogs.
